MIS Spine + Sports Medicine Sales Specialist
As a MIS Spine + Sports Sales Specialist, the employee is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies based on new innovative products and techniques in spine. Initially supporting the whole Piedmont+ Organization. The Spine Specialist is expected to be in the field, engaging with Sales Representatives to develop and maintain existing customer relationships, and building new customer relationships. The Spine Specialist is responsible for holding Sales Representatives accountable for all sales objectives and tactics, managing sales and operational activities on a daily basis, and developing the skills and effectiveness of their direct reports. The Spine Specialist is responsible for measuring, monitoring and trending Sales Representative performance and intervenes to ensure successful achievement of business results including quota achievement, account education engagement, and inventory management. The Spine Specialist will also be responsible for providing high level technical support to customers and other Sales Representatives.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

Responsible for driving Spine product sales within the company

Drive sales planning and execution initiatives to include; reliable forecasting and quota achievement, identification of key opportunities, market trends, competitor activity, and key accounts for company initiatives.

Point of contact and coordinator for area Spine product and procedure trainings, and support the territory as the Spine product and technique expert.

Develops positive and professional relationships by actively engaging with Physicians, key customers and accounts.

Develops, implements, and monitors sales and finance plans with these accounts.

Plans and monitors progress to successfully achieve and exceed sales goals

Demonstrates a leadership presence and influence that contributes to a high performing Sales Team while holding all members accountable for; responsible inventory management, effective time management, professional conduct, independent development, responsible and effective expense management, and accurate HCP reporting.

Has or will obtain a thorough understanding of selected account sales history, surgeon customers, buying group affiliations, objectives, and structure.

Lead instructional cadaveric Spine product lab sessions for OR staff and Surgeons.

Evaluates strategic opportunities and challenges with select accounts and outlines solutions in meetings with Agency Leadership.

Attends industry meetings and applicable Sales and Medical Education Trainings.

Work with other team members in other product lines to plan and coordinate selling strategy within a team selling structure.

Writes a monthly, mid-year and annual reports to update Agency Leadership.

Demonstrates effective organizational skills, not limited, to Inventory and Freight Management.

Comprehensive product training also requires the additional ability to handle and report product complaint and FDA required medical device reporting via the Arthrex Product Surveillance Department.

Education And Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree required

Experience in all aspects of Orthopedic and Spine Procedures
-
4+ years field experience in Orthopedic sales with a minimum of 2 years specializing in Spine products
-
High level of initiative
-
Strong interpersonal skills
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Current Driver’s license
